Must Do’s for Your Easter Getaway!

March 16, 2021

With awesome weather traditionally arriving in April, Easter holidays is the best time to enjoy the outdoors with family and friends. Luckily, we are spoilt for choice in Australia. There are tons of outdoor activities to enjoy right here in our backyard.

Our team are looking forward to the break this year. We thought about our favourite things to do and places to go so you are stuck for ideas, read on – we’ve got it covered.

On the Water

Whether you like to be barefoot on the sand or soaked in seawater, Australia’s coastline has some of the best beaches in the world. Bodyboarding is a fun way to ride the wave, but if you are up for a challenge, why not try your hand at surfing? The Gold Coast’s Currumbin Alley has the perfect waves for beginners.

Heading offshore widens your options. You don’t need to own a boat; you can always charter one. Why not take the kids out for a fishing trip and pack your camping grill to cook your catch while you’re out there? Yamba in northern New South Wales is highly recommended, catering to both casuals and experts at fishing. If snorkelling appeals to you, check out Ningaloo Reef in Western Australia. You can swim with whale sharks in their natural habitat.

If you want to stay in eyesight of the shoreline, paddle a canoe along rivers and creeks. This leads us to what you can do….

On the Land

You can be dry and still embrace the outdoors. The Easter long weekend is the perfect excuse to go camping and caravanning. Cradle Mountain in Tasmania is an incredible place to disconnect from the everyday and destress while hiking, bushwalking, and cycling. Give that 4WD a real run for its money and go off-road at Kakadu National Park in Northern Territory. No time for camping, hit the highway for a road trip. The Sydney to Canberra route has great cultural and natural stops along the way, including the Australian Botanic Garden and Fitzroy Falls.

How Do I Fit Everything We Need?

Now that you’re feeling inspired, it’s time to plan out the trip and make your bookings. Thoughts then turn to packing. How are you going to load up the car with everything and everyone? It becomes cramped and uncomfortable for the driver and passengers, making the journey unbearable. To top it off, you can’t find anything when you need it. Things have gotten lost or broken because it’s not been secured and kept safe.

Don’t put with it ever again. DECKED drawer storage systems maximise your space, keep your gear organised and secure while being weatherproof, watertight, and resistant to the Australian sun’s harsh UV rays. Your family and friends can appreciate the journey as much as the destination with comfort and space. You can be assured that your belongings are safe and protected from the elements.

There are several compatible accessories available to further enhance your organisation within the drawers and to add more convenient storage on your vehicle. You can check out our drawer systems and accessories in action on Channel Ten’s Three Blue Ducks nationally and Channel Seven’s News Home Guide on WA television.

Get yourself sorted with DECKED drawer storage systems for Easter and every weekend after that by heading here.
